To complete Impossible Mode with ease do this: Upgrade your Plasma Cutter by about 2 nodes then start upgrading your HP to MAX. Buy the Flamethrower as soon as possible but don't upgrade it until the Plasma Cutter is reasonabley upgraded.

Buy the Contact Beam for tentecles (kills them with real ease) upgrade this just before the end of the game as much as possible. Also keep at least 10k Credits in your inventory in case you need health, this will save you many times. Last thing open EVERY door that requires a power node, they always have 10k Credits worth of stuff or more.
